~Stash enhancement...

I realise this might be torture for all youse out there on yarn diets, but I've gone a little crazy on ebay of late:
And there's a little more still to come!

Promised I'd knit the boy (DS) a pair of socks this year - and he's got biiiig feet (size 13 UK - and that's not a child's size 13 either!). The yarn without a ballband is 6ply - I've not knit socks in thicker yarn yet.
Now I've got to walk the dogs - I've been laid up in bed for the past couple of days with some bug that made me gently feverish - so they've not had a decent stroll and are going a bit stircrazy. The weather has improved too - remember the deluge last weekend?

This is what happened to the stream at the bottom of the garden:
Our gardens are long and thin, like allotments - and our neighbour's garden dips down at the bottom - this is a picture of his - ours is slightly higher so stayed dry (this time!). The stream took a detour through the field and along the footpath. Was up over my wellies in places.

I am proud to announce that I finished my first pair of socks on Monday. I wore them to work on Tuesday and consequently wandered around the office sans shoes so that others might admire them.

I used Opal self-patterning so it was after a brief stuggle with my conscience that I admitted to my office mates that I am not an intarsia goddess. They looked vastly less impressed after that!

Have a great meet in Exeter tomorrow Tuts. I will be on a train heading towards Kent, Ashford and Colanne's (2nd) hen party.
